Listing rules

These rules apply to every listed server. Listings are published immediately, with no wait: moderation reviews them afterwards and removes from the ranking any that don't follow them.

1. The server must exist and be reachable

CubeVote only lists Minecraft servers (Java, or Bedrock through Geyser). Servers for other games are refused.

  • The address given must lead to a server that can really be reached.
  • A server offline for more than thirty days in a row may be removed from the ranking.
  • One listing per server: duplicates are deleted.

2. Listing content

  • The description must describe the server, not run down the competition.
  • No hateful or pornographic content, and no incitement to hatred or harassment.
  • Images must belong to you or be free to use.
  • The listing must be written in French or English.

3. Votes

The ranking runs on trust. Strictly forbidden:

  • Using bots, scripts, proxies or VPNs to multiply votes.
  • Buying votes from third parties.
  • Any reward conditional on voting for a server other than yours.

You are, however, entirely free to reward your players for their votes through our vote API. It's even encouraged.

Votes coming from a known VPN or the Tor network are set aside automatically. Fraudulent votes that are detected are removed from the ranking. For repeat offences, the server is banned, and its owner account with it.

4. Promotion

  • Promotion buys a position in the list, never votes: the count shown is always the real votes.
  • Sponsored servers always carry a visible badge.
  • Promotion doesn't exempt anyone from these rules: a sponsored server that breaks them is removed without a refund.

5. Moderation

Every new listing is published right away, then reviewed. A listing that breaks these rules is removed from the ranking, and may be deleted for good in cases of obvious abuse. The reason is then shown in your dashboard: fix the listing and it goes back to moderation.
