Terms of use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This English translation is provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding.
These terms govern the use of CubeVote, the Minecraft server directory, published by the person named in the legal notice. Creating an account means accepting these terms; browsing the site or voting without an account means accepting the articles that apply to it.
1. The service
CubeVote lists Minecraft servers, ranks them by player votes and publishes guides and tools. Browsing, voting and listing a server are free. Optional paid offers (Premium and reserved spots for servers) fall under the terms of sale.
2. Account
- An account is personal. You choose a strong password, keep it secret and are responsible for what is done with your account.
- The email address must be yours: it is used to confirm the account, recover access and receive the alerts you asked for.
- Under 15: a parent's consent is required to create an account (art. 45 of the French Data Protection Act).
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time from the My account page.
3. Server listings
The owner of a listing guarantees that they run the server presented and hold the rights to the texts, logos, banners and videos they publish. They grant the publisher the right to display them on the site, in share banners and social network previews, for as long as they are published. Listings follow the listing rules.
4. Votes
One vote per player and per server every few hours, according to the rule shown on the vote page. Bots, scripts, proxies, VPNs, buying votes and rewards conditional on voting for another server are forbidden. A vote cast from the address of a known VPN or a Tor exit node (public lists, updated daily) is refused. Votes the detection flags as suspicious can be removed from the ranking by moderation; proven fraud leads to the server being removed and its owner's account being closed.
4a. Ranking and sponsored content
What determines the order of servers, and what can be bought (art. L111-7 of the French Consumer Code):
- The ranking follows the month's vote count by default, reset on the first day of each month; suspicious votes removed by moderation no longer count in it. Other sorts are offered: players online, review rating, newest, trust score.
- Reserved spots (positions 1 to 3) are paid. They are shown above the ranking, outside of it, labelled as such, and don't change the vote rank: the server also keeps, in the ranking, the place its votes give it. On game mode, version and search pages, they come before other servers, except in the sort by trust score.
- Premium servers (paid offer, marked with the “Premium” badge) stand out with a golden listing, without changing the order of lists: they keep the place the chosen sort and their votes give them. The vote count, the vote rank and the sort by trust score can't be bought.
- Vote pages show sponsored servers (reserved spots and Premium), labelled “Sponsored”. The site shows no advertising.
- No offer buys votes: not Premium, not the spots. CubeVote+ is no longer sold: it is earned (see below).
4b. Rewards for top voters
At the end of each month, the three players who voted most for a server (non-suspicious votes, one ranking per server) receive a badge shown on their profile. The top voter of each of the three servers leading the month's ranking also receives seven days of CubeVote+, free, with no payment or cancellation: the period ends by itself.
The reward goes to the account from which this username voted during the month. Without an account, it is granted on the first vote made from an account with this username, within sixty days; after that, it is lost. It can't be exchanged or converted into money. Fraudulent votes (scripts, multiple accounts, reselling votes) lead to the reward being withdrawn.
4c. CubeVote Cup
Each month, in each game mode, three trophies are awarded to servers according to criteria published on the CubeVote Cup page (votes, progress, share of regular voters), calculated on non-suspicious votes only. The “Rising star” trophy entitles the server to seven free days of the Premium offer, when the mode has at least three servers competing; one week per server per month. A server sanctioned for vote fraud loses its trophies.
5. Reviews and reports
A review describes your experience as a player, without insulting, defamatory, hateful or promotional remarks. A server's owner doesn't rate their own. A report must be well-founded: repeated abusive reports lead to the account being suspended.
How reviews are published (art. L111-7-2 of the French Consumer Code): you need an account with a verified email address; each account leaves a single review per server, which it can edit or delete. Reviews are not verified: nothing ensures that their author played on the server. They are published immediately, with no prior check, shown from newest to oldest, and the average rating counts all published reviews. No review is paid for or bought, and a server can't choose, hide or have removed the reviews about it, unless they break these terms. A review stays online as long as its author doesn't remove it, their account exists and it isn't removed after a report.
The “Voter” label only shows that the account signing the review has voted for this server while logged in (suspicious votes and votes removed by moderation excluded), by tier: 1, 10, 50 or 100 votes and more. It doesn't verify the author's experience and changes neither the display order, nor the average rating, nor the ranking. After their 3rd vote for a server, a member may be invited once to write a review; a review never earns anything.
6. Moderation
The publisher doesn't check content beforehand. It removes clearly unlawful content reported to it and content that breaks these terms or the listing rules, and may suspend or close an offending account.
Every decision to remove, refuse or suspend is reasoned: the person concerned receives by email the decision, the facts and the rule at issue, and how to contest it (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, art. 16 and 17). To contest, reply to that email or write to contact@cubevote.net: the request is reviewed by a person, and the decision confirmed or cancelled. A consumer can still go to court.
7. Liability
Listed servers are run by third parties: the publisher isn't responsible for their content, their availability or the purchases you make there. The site is provided as is; the publisher strives to keep it accessible but doesn't guarantee continuous availability.
8. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the version in force is the one published on this page, and a significant change is announced to members. They are governed by French law. For any question: contact@cubevote.net.
