How to vote for a Minecraft server, and the rewards you get

16 October 2026 · updated on 28 October 2026 · 2 min read

On a ranking site like CubeVote, servers are ordered by their players' votes. Voting takes a minute, lifts the server you love, and almost always earns you an in-game reward. Here's how it works, end to end.

Why vote

  • The server climbs the ranking, and new players discover it: more people in game, more trading, more events.
  • You get rewarded: most servers give something for each vote, in-game money, crate keys or items, delivered automatically.
  • You show up among the top voters of your server, and in CubeVote's voters' hall of fame.

Voting on CubeVote, step by step

  1. Open your server's page in the ranking, or follow the vote link it gives you, in game with a command like /vote or on its Discord.
  2. Click Vote.
  3. Enter your Minecraft username, exactly as in game.
  4. Pass the anti-bot check, then confirm.

The vote counts straight away, and the server is notified so it can hand you your reward.

When to vote again

On CubeVote, you can vote for the same server every 3 hours. After voting, the page shows when your next vote is possible, and offers to remind you.

Votes are counted per month: the ranking starts again from zero on the 1st of each month. A steady vote, every day, therefore helps your server far more than a burst of votes once in a while.

Receiving your reward

The reward is given by the server itself, through a plugin (NuVotifier, VotingPlugin…) that receives the vote. Depending on the server, you need to:

  • be connected to the server when you vote,
  • or simply log back in afterwards: many servers keep the reward until your next login.

The server's page or Discord says what it gives, and how.

The reward doesn't arrive?

Cause Fix
misspelt username vote again at the next slot with the exact username, capitals included
Bedrock player on a Java server add the server's prefix, often a dot: .Username
reward only given while online vote while connected to the server
vote plugin broken let the staff know on Discord, with the time of your vote

CubeVote rewards

On top of your server's own, CubeVote rewards every month:

  • the top three voters of each server, with a badge on their player profile;
  • the top voter of the three leading servers in the month's ranking, with a free week of CubeVote+.

CubeVote+ then lets you vote without a captcha and shows your username in gold in the voter rankings. It can't be bought: it is earned by voting.

Vote fairly

One vote per person per slot. Votes sent through a VPN, chained by a script or made under several usernames are detected, can be removed, and can cost the server you wanted to help its place. The most useful thing remains a steady vote, every day, for the server you actually play on. To find the one that deserves yours: How to choose a good Minecraft server.
