Installing the prefix in game
- Create the group if it doesn't exist:
/lp creategroup admin. - Paste the LuckPerms command above into the console. The priority settles players with several ranks: the highest one shows.
- Check that your chat plugin shows the LuckPerms prefix, it's the chat plugin, not LuckPerms, that renders the colours. Hex colours need a 1.16 or newer server.
A rank set that reads at a glance
- One colour family per category: warm for staff, cool for players, pink or purple for donors. You recognise a moderator before reading their rank.
- Keep the same style for every rank. A tag that changes shape or shadow-sm from one rank to the next looks thrown together, even if each one is nice on its own.
- Space priorities ten apart: the day you add a rank, it slots in between two others without renumbering everything.
- For a Discord role, export at ×4 or more: the image stays sharp, and Discord scales it down without blurring.
